Our Traffic Department is now accepting credit card payments! You may pay in person with your credit card by bringing your copy of the citation and a photo ID to our Traffic Department located at 201 South Indian River Drive, Fort Pierce or 250 NW Country Club Drive, Port St. Lucie. You may use your credit card without a copy of your citation if the information has been entered into our computer. You may also use your credit card, if your citation has been entered into our computer, and pay by phone. Please call 772-871-7200 or

Department Functions and Services:

The Traffic Department is responsible for processing criminal and infraction citations for St. Lucie County. Functions include:

Processing criminal traffic tickets
Processing infraction citations
Processing mail and accepting payments
Putting on criminal citations
Putting on new criminal misdemeanor cases
Handling D-6 criminal charges
Discharging bonds once cases are disposed
Inputting cash bonds and refunding bonds
Entering of court information for cases set for trial
Creating court dockets
Filing all disposed cases
Taking payments at the traffic window
Accepting payments from probation
